AS in Accounting (Online)

Behind every business is a detail-oriented financial team, who support financial planning and decision making to ensure companies continue to profit and progress. Help organizations grow as you move forward in your career with an accounting degree from Post University. As a graduate of our program, you can seek employment as a bookkeeper, accountant, or payroll and billing clerk. Many of our graduates go on to complete their four-year degrees and pursue CPA and CMA certifications to advance their careers further.

Program Highlights

We introduce you to concepts and principles that are the foundation of accounting. In addition to understanding the practical aspects of bookkeeping, you will also explore in-depth accounting theories and use those theories to evaluate real businesses. Upon completion of your accounting courses, you will be able to:

  • Perform basic functions of entry-level bookkeeping and accounting
  • Analyze, record and interpret accounting information
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements
  • Advance academically in accounting to a bachelor’s degree

You don’t have to put your current job responsibilities on hold to go to school. We offer accounting classes online and at our Connecticut campus, with day, evening and weekend options available to fit your schedule.

At Post University, our experienced faculty and staff are committed to supporting you throughout your educational journey — and beyond. Whether you want to apply for entry-level accounting jobs or go on to earn your bachelor’s degree, we are here to help guide you to that next step.

This degree program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
