Associate of Arts in Communication Studies (Online)

The Associate of Arts (AA) in Communication Studies is a 60 credit hour degree providing an introduction to the field of communication studies. This major provides a foundation for various communication studies related work as well as completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies degree. The AA in Communication Studies requires a total of 60 credit hours for graduation, which includes 36 credit hours of general education coursework, 18 credit hours of Communication Studies major coursework, and 6 credit hours of elective coursework. Prior college, military, and technical credits can be used toward the AA in Communication Studies degree. Students may transfer in a maximum of 45 credit hours (75% of the degree requirements). Students may take a maximum of 15 credit hours of 300 and 400 level courses in the AA degree program.
